A Short Summery of GFMB4 Contact-1 (DUBAI)

I was so excited that I am going to start my experiential learning with SP Jain Global. On reaching hotel/ service apartments, I was so excited and curious to meet my companions for this journey that I left my bag outside the hotel, though i got my bag back from where I left but this turned out to be an experience or incident which I shared with my friends. SP Jain Global is all about the experience and networking.
Next day our sessions of 1st day at GFMB were to start, it was about our orientation in the course, perception building, relationship strengthening and basics of leadership skills. On the 1st day we had  3 powerful and motivational sessions from Prof.Christopher Abraham, Prof.Sameesh Dalal and Prof. Rajeev Thakkar. My learning were so deep that I have started implementing it after coming back home. I have developed a habit of going to office 1 hr before, I am now always clean shaved and have become very punctual. My mentor, my father has seen positive behavioral change, I have become more calm and composed. I share good equations with each of my employees. Learnt how people make perception  about you withing the first 7 seconds they meet you.
Prof Anil Menon, I regard him as "God of finance" in GFMB because of his tricks and strategies to tackle financials of the company. He taught us the simple ways to save and earn more on accumulated money by opting for sweep in-out methods and re-calculating the loans EMI's. this has directly benefited me in monetary terms. Banking is all about negotiations. I have also suggested it to many of my friends and relatives. I have developed interest in economics because of Prof. Nimesh Rathod. His examples made economics an easy subject. I learnt about USA crisis and problem solving, decision making and evaluating alternatives. Session on How to do business in abroad gave me exposure to rules and regulations of Dubai. I have learnt and observed that Dubai has become the trading hub of the world. I visited ports and closely observed the functioning of two other businesses based in Dubai.
DP World orders 69 cranes for Jebel Ali Port

JABEL-ALI PORT DUBAI.

Ports shows the quantum of  trading that Dubai deals with. Dubai is one of the most favorable places to do business not just because its TAX FREE but also because of its geographical location, though compliance of a local is needed as a partner in your business or set a business in special economic zones created by Dubai Authorities. It is centrally located that if trade is to happen between India and Western part then goods have to go through Dubai.Smooth and fast functioning has made Dubai a most favorable place. We visited Everest Metals International LLC, closely observed the operations and product of the company. Company manufactures Cable support trays and other accessories. We also visited a company who manufactures "Thermocol wall and slabs". Learnt the importance of innovation and invention. This company is trying to replace brick and cement walls and slabs with thermocol walls and slabs.
SP Jain Global enables you to learn more from other businesses.(Businesses of other participants)
